Manufacturer Introduction: How to power on smart dimming GlassAuthor: ComeFrom: Date:2019/5/7 11:25:19 Hits:2740
Intelligent dimming glass is a new type of special photoelectric glass, also known as electro-optical glass, electrified transparent glass, electrically controlled fogging glass, intelligent electrically controlled glass, etc.
As the name suggests, it is a kind of glass that uses electricity to control its transparent and opaque states. So, what kind of electricity is used in dimmable glass? The development of dimmable glass has been very rapid in recent years, and its application has become quite mature. During the development process, it has been constantly upgraded and replaced. Coupled with the fact that different manufacturers have different directions in the research and development of liquid crystal dimmable films, different types of dimmable glass have emerged in the market in various periods. Although dimmable glass looks the same, its internal structure is different. In terms of the working voltage it uses, the common ones on the market are 70V, 65V, and 60V, and there are also rare ones such as 48V, 36V, and 24V. This also indicates that different types of dimmable glass require corresponding power transformers. Why is it that the voltage generally used for dimmable glass is around 65V? This is mainly related to the physical properties of the polymer liquid crystal molecules in the dimming film. Continuous testing is needed to ensure that the liquid crystal molecules reach a relatively stable state, achieve a better light transmission effect, and avoid the situation of being burned out by sparks. So, are there any dimmable glasses that use 220V AC or 12V DC? The answer is no. The household electricity in our country is 220V alternating current, which is internationally known as high voltage (220V-240V). Such a high voltage is not very high. The 12V direct current in the vehicle also needs to be converted into the alternating current required by the dimmable glass by an inverter before it can be used. Using a lower voltage is more beneficial to people and also better in terms of energy conservation and power saving. |
